Tien Shan and Issyk Kul Lake

Day 1 Bishkek, Burana, Chon Kemin

The guide will meet you at the airport and transfer to the capital city of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek town. The first half of the day is dedicated to a guided Bishkek City Tour. The tour includes visiting Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala-Too Square, Old Square, National Philharmonic and many others places of interest. After traditional lunch you transfer to Chon Kemin gorge. On route to the gorge, you will visit Burana Tower (an 11th century minaret) and an open-air museum of Balbals (stone warriors). After an interesting excursion and climbing on the top of the tower is transfer to Chon Kemin gorge. This night you will spend in a guest house. Kyrgyz family will prepare a nice dinner for you

Day 2 Chon Kemin, Kochkor, Horse riding starts

In the morning we will have 3 hours of horse riding. Your route will go high in the mountains and you will even ride horses through a mountain forest. On the top you will see the panorama view of the gorge. After it you will be transferred to Kochkor village. In Kochkor village a local family will show you how our national felt carpets are made. You can even learn the art of felt making and create your own carpet together with them! You will have a chance to make your own picture with a help of colored wool and then all together we will beat it in a special way to get a nice felt carpet. You will also get to visit a small handicraft museum there. They have many examples of silver decorations, coats made of wolves, horse saddle decorations, carpets and more. Night will be in a guest house

Day 3 Kochkor, Son Kul, Horse riding continues

After breakfast we start our drive to the second largest lake in Kyrgyzstan: Son Kul Lake. This lake is surrounded by mountains and it is the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan, situated at an altitude of 3013 meters above sea level. Kyrgyz nomads started to come to this wonderful area with their families for rest and relaxation. Herders of the Naryn region come to the lake to use it as a pastureland. After our arrival, you will be free to explore and enjoy the virgin nature of the lake and its surroundings. You will ride along the lake on a horse or can ride to the mountains to see panorama view of the lake. Dinner and overnight is in nomadic collapsible dwellings: yurts. They are made of a wooden skeleton, covered with felt coverings

Day 4 Son Kul, 33 parrots Pass, Bokonbaevo, Drive

In the morning you will drive to Bokonbaevo village. The road to the city goes through 33 parrots pass (3 133 m). Teskey Torpok Pass (3133 m) is considered one of the most beautiful passes in Kyrgyzstan. From the top of the pass, you can see almost the entire road winding up to the pass. It also affords spectacular views of the Naryn Valley and some stunning mountain ranges to the south. The ice-capped mountains, massive mountainside pine trees, and thick rolling fog create a surreal, heavenly atmosphere that will take your breath away. You will discover a small mountain waterfall of indescribable beauty. It is formed from the main river that flows out of the Son Kul Lake. In Bokonbaevo village, we will visit a local eagle-hunter. He hunts hares and foxes with the help of eagles (traditional way of nomads hunting). Your dinner will be served at 7 p.m. in the guest house, where you will also spend the night

Day 5 Bokonbaevo, Issyk Kul southern shore, Jeti Oguz, Karakol

In the morning you will enjoy Arrow shooting by horse. Then drive to Karakol through southern shore of Issyk Kul. After you we will drive to Jeti Oguz gorge. It’s famous for its red rocks formations that have a name Seven Bulls – Jeti Oguz. Also, you will see there the Broken Heart Mountain. We will make many photos there and if you want it is possible to go on a top of a mountain (20 minutes) to see a panorama view of the gorge! Then we continue our way to Karakol town. You will visit the Dungan Mosque. One of its highlights is the fact that it was built in Chinese style without using a single metal nail. This will be followed by the visit of an old wooden Orthodox Church. Night is in a hotel

Day 6 Karakol, Issyk Kul northern shore, Bishkek

Today you will be transferred to Bishkek city. This time we will drive along the northern shore of Issyk Kul Lake. This is a great chance to see the whole lake from all sights. We will make a short break to give you the opportunity to visit ancient stone inscriptions (dating back to 800 B.C.). These petroglyphs were made more than 2 000 years ago by shamans. You can see a panorama view of the Issyk Kul Lake from this place – people were thinking that it was the middle of the world. Traditional dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Night is in a hotel

Day 7 Bishkek, Airport

In the morning is transfer to airport
