Day 1, Shavat-Dashoguz border – KunyaUrgench , 95km, Asphalt Roads

Meet at the border (direction from Khiva or Urgench in Uzbekistan). Formalities. Drive Dashoguz – Kunya Urgench, 95km. Sightseeing of KunyaUrgench History Park, the capital of KhoresmShakh State XI-XII cc, also known as Gurganj

KunyaUrgench- Darvaza, 310 km, Asphalt Bumpy Roads, Sand Tracks

Continue drive and enter into the Zaungus Karakum desert. Arrive in Darvaza. Leave the road and cross three ranges of barchans to arrive at fiery gas crater. Sightseeing. See the gas crater at sunset and at night. Wild camping in the area. Overnight in tent (tent, sleeping bag, mat are provided)

Tip! If you visit Nukus in Uzbekistan, the easy change is ok to cross the border directly via Khojeili-KunyaUrgench border checkpoint

Day 2, Darvaza – Ashgabat, 257km, Sand Tracks, Asphalt Road

A.M return on the road. Visit other gas craters around Darvaza. Continue to Ashgabat. Stop for photos along the route.

P.M. arrive in Ashgabat. Check in hotel. Free program. Overnight at hotel

Day 3, Ashgabat

Sightseeing of Old Nisa Fortress, Turkmenbashy mosque, Serdar Yoly Health Route, Sightseeing in town, visit museum(s). Time for leisure. Night tour in Ashgabat to see the town in lights and have panoramic photos. Overnight

Day 4, Ashgabat – Mary, Flight 40min, Mary- GonurDepe – Mary, 100+100km, Asphalt Roads, Sand Tracks

07:00 A.M. Flight to Mary. Meet at airport. Start drive to the GonurDepe archeological site. Enter the Karakum desert and arrive at Bronze Age Margiana Country. Visit the excavations of the Palace, Temples, and Necropolis. On the return route, visit Parthian-Sasanian fortress of Goebekly, Nestorian church and Watch Tower remains. Visit the Mary history museum. Check in hotel. Time for leisure. Overnight at hotel

Day 5, Mary- Merv – Farap border, 270km, Highway

07:00 A.M start drive to Merv History Park. Sightseeing in Alexandria in Margiana, Antiochia in Margiana, SultanKala. Drive to Farap border. Cross the Eastern Karakum desert, Amu Darya river and Sundukli barchans. 15:00 Formalities at the border. Continue to Uzbekistan/ Bukhara direction
